Let customers speak for us
from 8 reviewsI love the knife I got from Rainy day Forge. It’s the perfect size for all my back country adventures. Also getting the custom etching is awesome. No one can say that it’s there’s with my name on it.
The craftsmanship of this carving knife is second to none. The feel of the handle is perfection and the blade came ready-for-use, there's no way I could have gotten it any sharper myself. The blade (1-3/4" in length) especially impressed me as it's sleek enough to glide through wood, but sturdy enough to not worry about the tip snapping off. I know there are many cheap carving knives available out there, but they cannot be compared to this knife. It is truly a work of art and well worth it to own such a luxury knife.
To use a common phrase that this knife exceeded my expectations is just not strong enough to describe my first impression. Pick one up an instantly it becomes an extension of your hand. Fingures naturally move to comfortably find the right grip for how you would use it. A finger along the spine for detailed work or skinning, a pinch grip for less fine work but not heavy duty lets your fingerss fall into the contures of the handle. And if needed, lots needed you can grasp and hog down with a full finger grip. The steel is super sharp with a sweep that I can see would fit about 98% of my cutting needs since I am not going to batton kindling with it. This knife is just an outstanding example of a craftsman who put thought into design and application to the highest standard.
I ordered a sticker selection and these are simply fun. Colorful, sparkly, and attractive. They were an instant hit with my family and grandson who wanted one for his water bottle and I took that as the best quality review of all
Great price, shipped fast, quick to respond to questions!
I love hand crafted items and it was apparent that you put a lot of thought and skill into this design. I love seeing the result of that much creativity.
Really cool little knife. Super Sharp.
