Hello everyone! It's been an exciting week at Rainy Day Forge, where I create custom knives here in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I'm thrilled to share some of the highlights with you. Here's what's been happening in my shop:

First of all, I have a new addition to the team. Meet Dax, my new shop puppy. She's a curious and energetic little pup, which means that it's been a bit harder to get work done. But she's been a great source of inspiration and motivation for me as a custom knife maker.

Despite the distractions, I've managed to make progress on a new run of Ultralight Knives. I've designed a new sheath for the knife that is more ergonomic and functional. As a knife maker, it's always satisfying to see a new design come to life, and I'm excited to share it with you all.

I also had the pleasure of meeting with Johan Penner and heat treating some AEB-L knives for him. He brought me some treats, including russian olivewood and high carbon hay tines. It's always great to connect with other knife makers in the custom knife community and share ideas and knowledge.

In addition, I went live on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to showcase my work as a custom knife maker. It was an exciting opportunity to connect with my followers and share some of my process. If you missed it, be sure to check out the replays on my channels.

Finally, I tried out a new product called Rhino Stick. It's an adhesive-backed sandpaper that comes in a roll, and it's been a fantastic addition to my custom knife shop. It's made sanding and finishing my knives much easier and more efficient.

That's all for now. Thanks for tuning in to this week's update from Rainy Day Forge, your local custom knife maker here in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Be sure to follow me on social media for more updates, and feel free to reach out with any questions or comments.
