Easy Slicing with AEB-L Stainless Steel

Inspired by the serene Lake Wanipigow, it's timeless beauty and deep history. This knife embodies that magic with its exceptional craftsmanship and cutting precision.

Materials

The blade of the Wanipigow is made of AEB-L stainless steel. The handle can be customized with various handle options but it looks great with our multi-piece handle constructions.

Design

Designed to be a bridge between a santoku and a cleaver, this knife has a very thin edge and is made for slicing and dicing. The handle is slightly downturned for good rocking cuts using a pinch grip. The ovoid handle provides a comfortable grip that fits naturally in the hand.

Onions, Celery, Carrots, Potatoes, no woes. The Wanipigow will have no problem dealing with them and your favourite vegetables.

Burns, Blades & Banter

Did you know that when a knife feels dull, it might not actually be dull. Often, the issue is a misaligned edge. As you use your knife, the edge can distort and be pushed off to the side. An easy way to get it feeling sharp again is by using one of the following options. 1 - Use a steel. Steels are round pieces of hardened metal. You can lightly stroke a few times on both sides of the edge of your knife at an acute angle to realign the edge. If you listen closely, you may hear a difference in sound as the edge is put back into the right place. 2 - Use another knife to do the same as you would with a steel. 3 - use a strop to realign the edge. These are often leather or canvas-like materials. 4 - in a pinch, the bottom of a ceramic vessel will also work but you might remove material from the edge. It's an abrasive material and, in a pinch, can sharpen the knife.
